Give Mostar more than a stop
The Old Bridge Area of the Old City of Mostar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rebuilt bridge opened in 2004, and the area was inscribed in 2005. That history matters, but so does experiencing the place at street level: walking the lanes, noticing the stonework and letting the river become more than a backdrop.
Follow the water to Blagaj
Near Mostar, the Buna rises beneath a cliff beside Blagaj's tekke. It is a very different setting from the old town and a reason to leave space in your day. Treat religious sites as places of living practice: check visiting arrangements, dress respectfully and ask before photographing people.
Choose your balance of heritage and outdoors
Herzegovina is not one interchangeable landscape. A town walk, a river outing and a mountain day involve different travel, effort and conditions. Start with what appeals to you, then choose the stops that belong together. If Kravica or the mountains are priorities, include them in your enquiry rather than squeezing them into a plan afterwards.
Let the season shape the day
Southern lowlands and high mountains do not share the same conditions. In warm weather, consider your walking pace and breaks; for an outdoor activity, check the actual route and current conditions. This is a region to enjoy, not a list of sights to finish.
